About this Acer × Elephant Talk unlock
Elephant Talk locks devices to its network when sold on contract or financed. Unlocking your Acer is straightforward once your account meets Elephant Talk's eligibility criteria — typically the device must be paid off and not reported lost or stolen.
DeviceDecoded uses the manufacturer's official unlock channel. We submit your Acer's IMEI directly, and once approved, the device is permanently whitelisted. The unlock survives factory resets, OS updates, and SIM swaps.
Elephant Talk country coverage
Elephant Talk operates in 2 countries. Your Acer unlock works regardless of which country it was originally sold in.

FAQ — Acer on Elephant Talk
- Can Elephant Talk block this unlock?
- No. Once your Acer's IMEI is whitelisted on the manufacturer's database, Elephant Talk cannot reverse it.
- Will my Acer stay unlocked after a factory reset?
- Yes. The unlock is permanent at the factory level — it persists through factory resets, OS updates, and SIM changes.
- Do I need my Elephant Talk account credentials?
- No. We unlock by IMEI alone. You don't need to provide your Elephant Talk username, PIN, or account number.
- What if my Acer is still on a Elephant Talk payment plan?
- It depends on the device's status. Start with the eligibility check at our unlock checkout — that page explains how the two-stage payment works before you commit.
