About this AG-TEL × Nextel unlock
Nextel locks devices to its network when sold on contract or financed. Unlocking your AG-TEL is straightforward once your account meets Nextel's eligibility criteria — typically the device must be paid off and not reported lost or stolen.
DeviceDecoded uses the manufacturer's official unlock channel. We submit your AG-TEL's IMEI directly, and once approved, the device is permanently whitelisted. The unlock survives factory resets, OS updates, and SIM swaps.
Nextel country coverage
Nextel operates in 2 countries. Your AG-TEL unlock works regardless of which country it was originally sold in.

FAQ — AG-TEL on Nextel
- Can Nextel block this unlock?
- No. Once your AG-TEL's IMEI is whitelisted on the manufacturer's database, Nextel cannot reverse it.
- Will my AG-TEL stay unlocked after a factory reset?
- Yes. The unlock is permanent at the factory level — it persists through factory resets, OS updates, and SIM changes.
- Do I need my Nextel account credentials?
- No. We unlock by IMEI alone. You don't need to provide your Nextel username, PIN, or account number.
- What if my AG-TEL is still on a Nextel payment plan?
- It depends on the device's status. Start with the eligibility check at our unlock checkout — that page explains how the two-stage payment works before you commit.
