About this Alcatel × BT Italia unlock
BT Italia locks devices to its network when sold on contract or financed. Unlocking your Alcatel is straightforward once your account meets BT Italia's eligibility criteria — typically the device must be paid off and not reported lost or stolen.
DeviceDecoded uses the manufacturer's official unlock channel. We submit your Alcatel's IMEI directly, and once approved, the device is permanently whitelisted. The unlock survives factory resets, OS updates, and SIM swaps.
BT Italia country coverage
BT Italia operates in 1 country. Your Alcatel unlock works regardless of which country it was originally sold in.

FAQ — Alcatel on BT Italia
- Can BT Italia block this unlock?
- No. Once your Alcatel's IMEI is whitelisted on the manufacturer's database, BT Italia cannot reverse it.
- Will my Alcatel stay unlocked after a factory reset?
- Yes. The unlock is permanent at the factory level — it persists through factory resets, OS updates, and SIM changes.
- Do I need my BT Italia account credentials?
- No. We unlock by IMEI alone. You don't need to provide your BT Italia username, PIN, or account number.
- What if my Alcatel is still on a BT Italia payment plan?
- It depends on the device's status. Start with the eligibility check at our unlock checkout — that page explains how the two-stage payment works before you commit.
