About this Amazon × Econet Ezi-Cel unlock
Econet Ezi-Cel locks devices to its network when sold on contract or financed. Unlocking your Amazon is straightforward once your account meets Econet Ezi-Cel's eligibility criteria — typically the device must be paid off and not reported lost or stolen.
DeviceDecoded uses the manufacturer's official unlock channel. We submit your Amazon's IMEI directly, and once approved, the device is permanently whitelisted. The unlock survives factory resets, OS updates, and SIM swaps.
Econet Ezi-Cel country coverage
Econet Ezi-Cel operates in 1 country. Your Amazon unlock works regardless of which country it was originally sold in.

FAQ — Amazon on Econet Ezi-Cel
- Can Econet Ezi-Cel block this unlock?
- No. Once your Amazon's IMEI is whitelisted on the manufacturer's database, Econet Ezi-Cel cannot reverse it.
- Will my Amazon stay unlocked after a factory reset?
- Yes. The unlock is permanent at the factory level — it persists through factory resets, OS updates, and SIM changes.
- Do I need my Econet Ezi-Cel account credentials?
- No. We unlock by IMEI alone. You don't need to provide your Econet Ezi-Cel username, PIN, or account number.
- What if my Amazon is still on a Econet Ezi-Cel payment plan?
- It depends on the device's status. Start with the eligibility check at our unlock checkout — that page explains how the two-stage payment works before you commit.
