About this AMOD × Claro unlock
Claro locks devices to its network when sold on contract or financed. Unlocking your AMOD is straightforward once your account meets Claro's eligibility criteria — typically the device must be paid off and not reported lost or stolen.
DeviceDecoded uses the manufacturer's official unlock channel. We submit your AMOD's IMEI directly, and once approved, the device is permanently whitelisted. The unlock survives factory resets, OS updates, and SIM swaps.

Claro operates in 18 countries. Your AMOD unlock works regardless of which country it was originally sold in.

FAQ — AMOD on Claro
- Can Claro block this unlock?
- No. Once your AMOD's IMEI is whitelisted on the manufacturer's database, Claro cannot reverse it.
- Will my AMOD stay unlocked after a factory reset?
- Yes. The unlock is permanent at the factory level — it persists through factory resets, OS updates, and SIM changes.
- Do I need my Claro account credentials?
- No. We unlock by IMEI alone. You don't need to provide your Claro username, PIN, or account number.
- What if my AMOD is still on a Claro payment plan?
- It depends on the device's status. Start with the eligibility check at our unlock checkout — that page explains how the two-stage payment works before you commit.
