About this AMOI × Net1 unlock
Net1 locks devices to its network when sold on contract or financed. Unlocking your AMOI is straightforward once your account meets Net1's eligibility criteria — typically the device must be paid off and not reported lost or stolen.
DeviceDecoded uses the manufacturer's official unlock channel. We submit your AMOI's IMEI directly, and once approved, the device is permanently whitelisted. The unlock survives factory resets, OS updates, and SIM swaps.
Net1 country coverage
Net1 operates in 1 country. Your AMOI unlock works regardless of which country it was originally sold in.

FAQ — AMOI on Net1
- Can Net1 block this unlock?
- No. Once your AMOI's IMEI is whitelisted on the manufacturer's database, Net1 cannot reverse it.
- Will my AMOI stay unlocked after a factory reset?
- Yes. The unlock is permanent at the factory level — it persists through factory resets, OS updates, and SIM changes.
- Do I need my Net1 account credentials?
- No. We unlock by IMEI alone. You don't need to provide your Net1 username, PIN, or account number.
- What if my AMOI is still on a Net1 payment plan?
- It depends on the device's status. Start with the eligibility check at our unlock checkout — that page explains how the two-stage payment works before you commit.
