About this Archos × EE unlock
EE locks devices to its network when sold on contract or financed. Unlocking your Archos is straightforward once your account meets EE's eligibility criteria — typically the device must be paid off and not reported lost or stolen.
DeviceDecoded uses the manufacturer's official unlock channel. We submit your Archos's IMEI directly, and once approved, the device is permanently whitelisted. The unlock survives factory resets, OS updates, and SIM swaps.
EE country coverage
EE operates in 1 country. Your Archos unlock works regardless of which country it was originally sold in.

FAQ — Archos on EE
- Can EE block this unlock?
- No. Once your Archos's IMEI is whitelisted on the manufacturer's database, EE cannot reverse it.
- Will my Archos stay unlocked after a factory reset?
- Yes. The unlock is permanent at the factory level — it persists through factory resets, OS updates, and SIM changes.
- Do I need my EE account credentials?
- No. We unlock by IMEI alone. You don't need to provide your EE username, PIN, or account number.
- What if my Archos is still on a EE payment plan?
- It depends on the device's status. Start with the eligibility check at our unlock checkout — that page explains how the two-stage payment works before you commit.
