About this ATHENA × Etisalat unlock
Etisalat locks devices to its network when sold on contract or financed. Unlocking your ATHENA is straightforward once your account meets Etisalat's eligibility criteria — typically the device must be paid off and not reported lost or stolen.
DeviceDecoded uses the manufacturer's official unlock channel. We submit your ATHENA's IMEI directly, and once approved, the device is permanently whitelisted. The unlock survives factory resets, OS updates, and SIM swaps.
Etisalat country coverage
Etisalat operates in 4 countries. Your ATHENA unlock works regardless of which country it was originally sold in.

FAQ — ATHENA on Etisalat
- Can Etisalat block this unlock?
- No. Once your ATHENA's IMEI is whitelisted on the manufacturer's database, Etisalat cannot reverse it.
- Will my ATHENA stay unlocked after a factory reset?
- Yes. The unlock is permanent at the factory level — it persists through factory resets, OS updates, and SIM changes.
- Do I need my Etisalat account credentials?
- No. We unlock by IMEI alone. You don't need to provide your Etisalat username, PIN, or account number.
- What if my ATHENA is still on a Etisalat payment plan?
- It depends on the device's status. Start with the eligibility check at our unlock checkout — that page explains how the two-stage payment works before you commit.
