About this Bird × Visafone unlock
Visafone locks devices to its network when sold on contract or financed. Unlocking your Bird is straightforward once your account meets Visafone's eligibility criteria — typically the device must be paid off and not reported lost or stolen.
DeviceDecoded uses the manufacturer's official unlock channel. We submit your Bird's IMEI directly, and once approved, the device is permanently whitelisted. The unlock survives factory resets, OS updates, and SIM swaps.
Visafone country coverage
Visafone operates in 1 country. Your Bird unlock works regardless of which country it was originally sold in.

FAQ — Bird on Visafone
- Can Visafone block this unlock?
- No. Once your Bird's IMEI is whitelisted on the manufacturer's database, Visafone cannot reverse it.
- Will my Bird stay unlocked after a factory reset?
- Yes. The unlock is permanent at the factory level — it persists through factory resets, OS updates, and SIM changes.
- Do I need my Visafone account credentials?
- No. We unlock by IMEI alone. You don't need to provide your Visafone username, PIN, or account number.
- What if my Bird is still on a Visafone payment plan?
- It depends on the device's status. Start with the eligibility check at our unlock checkout — that page explains how the two-stage payment works before you commit.
