About this Coolgen × Vodafone unlock
Vodafone locks devices to its network when sold on contract or financed. Unlocking your Coolgen is straightforward once your account meets Vodafone's eligibility criteria — typically the device must be paid off and not reported lost or stolen.
DeviceDecoded uses the manufacturer's official unlock channel. We submit your Coolgen's IMEI directly, and once approved, the device is permanently whitelisted. The unlock survives factory resets, OS updates, and SIM swaps.

FAQ — Coolgen on Vodafone
- Can Vodafone block this unlock?
- No. Once your Coolgen's IMEI is whitelisted on the manufacturer's database, Vodafone cannot reverse it.
- Will my Coolgen stay unlocked after a factory reset?
- Yes. The unlock is permanent at the factory level — it persists through factory resets, OS updates, and SIM changes.
- Do I need my Vodafone account credentials?
- No. We unlock by IMEI alone. You don't need to provide your Vodafone username, PIN, or account number.
- What if my Coolgen is still on a Vodafone payment plan?
- It depends on the device's status. Start with the eligibility check at our unlock checkout — that page explains how the two-stage payment works before you commit.
