About this ETON × Movistar unlock
Movistar locks devices to its network when sold on contract or financed. Unlocking your ETON is straightforward once your account meets Movistar's eligibility criteria — typically the device must be paid off and not reported lost or stolen.
DeviceDecoded uses the manufacturer's official unlock channel. We submit your ETON's IMEI directly, and once approved, the device is permanently whitelisted. The unlock survives factory resets, OS updates, and SIM swaps.

FAQ — ETON on Movistar
- Can Movistar block this unlock?
- No. Once your ETON's IMEI is whitelisted on the manufacturer's database, Movistar cannot reverse it.
- Will my ETON stay unlocked after a factory reset?
- Yes. The unlock is permanent at the factory level — it persists through factory resets, OS updates, and SIM changes.
- Do I need my Movistar account credentials?
- No. We unlock by IMEI alone. You don't need to provide your Movistar username, PIN, or account number.
- What if my ETON is still on a Movistar payment plan?
- It depends on the device's status. Start with the eligibility check at our unlock checkout — that page explains how the two-stage payment works before you commit.
