About this GONEX × O2 unlock
O2 locks devices to its network when sold on contract or financed. Unlocking your GONEX is straightforward once your account meets O2's eligibility criteria — typically the device must be paid off and not reported lost or stolen.
DeviceDecoded uses the manufacturer's official unlock channel. We submit your GONEX's IMEI directly, and once approved, the device is permanently whitelisted. The unlock survives factory resets, OS updates, and SIM swaps.
O2 country coverage
O2 operates in 4 countries. Your GONEX unlock works regardless of which country it was originally sold in.

FAQ — GONEX on O2
- Can O2 block this unlock?
- No. Once your GONEX's IMEI is whitelisted on the manufacturer's database, O2 cannot reverse it.
- Will my GONEX stay unlocked after a factory reset?
- Yes. The unlock is permanent at the factory level — it persists through factory resets, OS updates, and SIM changes.
- Do I need my O2 account credentials?
- No. We unlock by IMEI alone. You don't need to provide your O2 username, PIN, or account number.
- What if my GONEX is still on a O2 payment plan?
- It depends on the device's status. Start with the eligibility check at our unlock checkout — that page explains how the two-stage payment works before you commit.
