About this HMD × SabaFon unlock
SabaFon locks devices to its network when sold on contract or financed. Unlocking your HMD is straightforward once your account meets SabaFon's eligibility criteria — typically the device must be paid off and not reported lost or stolen.
DeviceDecoded uses the manufacturer's official unlock channel. We submit your HMD's IMEI directly, and once approved, the device is permanently whitelisted. The unlock survives factory resets, OS updates, and SIM swaps.
SabaFon country coverage
SabaFon operates in 1 country. Your HMD unlock works regardless of which country it was originally sold in.

FAQ — HMD on SabaFon
- Can SabaFon block this unlock?
- No. Once your HMD's IMEI is whitelisted on the manufacturer's database, SabaFon cannot reverse it.
- Will my HMD stay unlocked after a factory reset?
- Yes. The unlock is permanent at the factory level — it persists through factory resets, OS updates, and SIM changes.
- Do I need my SabaFon account credentials?
- No. We unlock by IMEI alone. You don't need to provide your SabaFon username, PIN, or account number.
- What if my HMD is still on a SabaFon payment plan?
- It depends on the device's status. Start with the eligibility check at our unlock checkout — that page explains how the two-stage payment works before you commit.
