About this HYWY × Tesco Mobile unlock
Tesco Mobile locks devices to its network when sold on contract or financed. Unlocking your HYWY is straightforward once your account meets Tesco Mobile's eligibility criteria — typically the device must be paid off and not reported lost or stolen.
DeviceDecoded uses the manufacturer's official unlock channel. We submit your HYWY's IMEI directly, and once approved, the device is permanently whitelisted. The unlock survives factory resets, OS updates, and SIM swaps.

FAQ — HYWY on Tesco Mobile
- Can Tesco Mobile block this unlock?
- No. Once your HYWY's IMEI is whitelisted on the manufacturer's database, Tesco Mobile cannot reverse it.
- Will my HYWY stay unlocked after a factory reset?
- Yes. The unlock is permanent at the factory level — it persists through factory resets, OS updates, and SIM changes.
- Do I need my Tesco Mobile account credentials?
- No. We unlock by IMEI alone. You don't need to provide your Tesco Mobile username, PIN, or account number.
- What if my HYWY is still on a Tesco Mobile payment plan?
- It depends on the device's status. Start with the eligibility check at our unlock checkout — that page explains how the two-stage payment works before you commit.
