About this Mtouch × Digicel unlock
Digicel locks devices to its network when sold on contract or financed. Unlocking your Mtouch is straightforward once your account meets Digicel's eligibility criteria — typically the device must be paid off and not reported lost or stolen.
DeviceDecoded uses the manufacturer's official unlock channel. We submit your Mtouch's IMEI directly, and once approved, the device is permanently whitelisted. The unlock survives factory resets, OS updates, and SIM swaps.
Digicel country coverage
Digicel operates in 31 countries. Your Mtouch unlock works regardless of which country it was originally sold in.

FAQ — Mtouch on Digicel
- Can Digicel block this unlock?
- No. Once your Mtouch's IMEI is whitelisted on the manufacturer's database, Digicel cannot reverse it.
- Will my Mtouch stay unlocked after a factory reset?
- Yes. The unlock is permanent at the factory level — it persists through factory resets, OS updates, and SIM changes.
- Do I need my Digicel account credentials?
- No. We unlock by IMEI alone. You don't need to provide your Digicel username, PIN, or account number.
- What if my Mtouch is still on a Digicel payment plan?
- It depends on the device's status. Start with the eligibility check at our unlock checkout — that page explains how the two-stage payment works before you commit.
