About this TONGEN × Telia unlock
Telia locks devices to its network when sold on contract or financed. Unlocking your TONGEN is straightforward once your account meets Telia's eligibility criteria — typically the device must be paid off and not reported lost or stolen.
DeviceDecoded uses the manufacturer's official unlock channel. We submit your TONGEN's IMEI directly, and once approved, the device is permanently whitelisted. The unlock survives factory resets, OS updates, and SIM swaps.
Telia country coverage
Telia operates in 4 countries. Your TONGEN unlock works regardless of which country it was originally sold in.

FAQ — TONGEN on Telia
- Can Telia block this unlock?
- No. Once your TONGEN's IMEI is whitelisted on the manufacturer's database, Telia cannot reverse it.
- Will my TONGEN stay unlocked after a factory reset?
- Yes. The unlock is permanent at the factory level — it persists through factory resets, OS updates, and SIM changes.
- Do I need my Telia account credentials?
- No. We unlock by IMEI alone. You don't need to provide your Telia username, PIN, or account number.
- What if my TONGEN is still on a Telia payment plan?
- It depends on the device's status. Start with the eligibility check at our unlock checkout — that page explains how the two-stage payment works before you commit.
