About this TREK × Nextel unlock
Nextel locks devices to its network when sold on contract or financed. Unlocking your TREK is straightforward once your account meets Nextel's eligibility criteria — typically the device must be paid off and not reported lost or stolen.
DeviceDecoded uses the manufacturer's official unlock channel. We submit your TREK's IMEI directly, and once approved, the device is permanently whitelisted. The unlock survives factory resets, OS updates, and SIM swaps.
Nextel country coverage
Nextel operates in 2 countries. Your TREK unlock works regardless of which country it was originally sold in.

FAQ — TREK on Nextel
- Can Nextel block this unlock?
- No. Once your TREK's IMEI is whitelisted on the manufacturer's database, Nextel cannot reverse it.
- Will my TREK stay unlocked after a factory reset?
- Yes. The unlock is permanent at the factory level — it persists through factory resets, OS updates, and SIM changes.
- Do I need my Nextel account credentials?
- No. We unlock by IMEI alone. You don't need to provide your Nextel username, PIN, or account number.
- What if my TREK is still on a Nextel payment plan?
- It depends on the device's status. Start with the eligibility check at our unlock checkout — that page explains how the two-stage payment works before you commit.
