About this Vertu × Sprint unlock
Sprint locks devices to its network when sold on contract or financed. Unlocking your Vertu is straightforward once your account meets Sprint's eligibility criteria — typically the device must be paid off and not reported lost or stolen.
DeviceDecoded uses the manufacturer's official unlock channel. We submit your Vertu's IMEI directly, and once approved, the device is permanently whitelisted. The unlock survives factory resets, OS updates, and SIM swaps.
Sprint country coverage
Sprint operates in 3 countries. Your Vertu unlock works regardless of which country it was originally sold in.

FAQ — Vertu on Sprint
- Can Sprint block this unlock?
- No. Once your Vertu's IMEI is whitelisted on the manufacturer's database, Sprint cannot reverse it.
- Will my Vertu stay unlocked after a factory reset?
- Yes. The unlock is permanent at the factory level — it persists through factory resets, OS updates, and SIM changes.
- Do I need my Sprint account credentials?
- No. We unlock by IMEI alone. You don't need to provide your Sprint username, PIN, or account number.
- What if my Vertu is still on a Sprint payment plan?
- It depends on the device's status. Start with the eligibility check at our unlock checkout — that page explains how the two-stage payment works before you commit.
